Recycle for Buckinghamshire

You'll be amazed how easy it is to make a real difference.

Recycle Now. Recycle for Buckinghamshire. The possibilities are endless.

Recycle for Buckinghamshire aims to:

  • raise awareness and understanding
  • encourage people to recycle more of the right things

We are now recycling and composting around 45% of our household waste.  We offer recycling collection services and over 400 bring banks and recycling centres.  Many types of materials can now be recycled in Buckinghamshire, ranging from glass, cans, paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, garden waste, clothes and batteries.

We also run fantastic waste prevention projects to help you reduce your garden and food waste.

Our campaigns are run in partnership with the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire and other supporting charities and organistaions. Find out more about our partners.

Reuse

According to the waste hierarchy we should try and reuse waste before recycling or throwing away.

We encourage residents to use real nappies which can be reused over and over again and diverts tonnes of waste from our landfill sites.

We are looking at ways we can work with community partners to reuse bulky waste in Buckinghamshire and prevent our furniture going to landfill.

Schools
